Complete lack of discrimination

I had an interesting experience today. As part of some of my research work, I was speaking on the phone to a Senior Director at one of the world's largest Logistics companies. We were initially scheduled to speak for about 30 minutes, but we ended up speaking for close to 75 minutes. I really enjoyed the interview, which to a large extent turned into a brainstorming session.

At the end, he said that he was interested in interviewing me for a position within his organization. I was extremely pleased by his offer and later, I realized that it might have been a perfect example of the complete lack of discrimination we all strive towards.

All he knew about me was that I was male. (From my voice)
He didnt know anything else - My race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, political inclination.

Maybe thats what we need, for people to only communicate through the phone. That might help break the barriers of stereotypes that seem to be so wide-spread.
