Its absolutely the coolest form of transportation in India, barring the elephant of course.
When I read this article, I started wondering why the author wasnt driving to the theatre ... Did he not have a car or a bike maybe ? However, as I thought about it, it made sense to take an auto ... With Chennai bursting at its seams, driving around has become torture and the parking problem is starting to rival Boston's.
An auto makes sense, no parking problems and it can navigate the narrowest of spaces on the road. Soon, I think theres going to be no alternative but to take some form of public transport, as all current parking spaces will be used as office space ... What we need is a "luxury auto" -Maybe it could be air conditioned or something.
And the next step would be "auto limos" - Just imagine going to a party in an auto stretch limo - That would be one hell of an entrance !

and why do u need it air conditioned with it being open on almost all the sides....?its gr8 as it is....
