FedEx Prime.
I listened to a fantastic podcast (from the Wall Street Journal) about how FedEx dropped Amazon as a customer in the middle of 2019. FedEx derived about 1% of their revenue ($1B) from Amazon and their hand seems to have been forced by Amazon's continued investment in their own shipping network.
FedEx is now positioning themselves to all the other ecommerce companies as the company that does not work with Amazon. While Amazon is the largest, there is a massive volume of shipments from all of the other retailers.
Could FedEx launch a FedEx Prime service (modeled on Amazon Prime) that would allow subscribers to get shipments free from all websites except Amazon? Surely, retailers would jump in eagerly?
