The Tata Nano - What a singularly superb achievement!

I was truly proud of the buzz that the Nano has created all over the world. The day it was launched, I was flying to India from the US, and it was on the front page of every major newspaper in the world - From the Wall Street Journal and New York Times to the Financial Times.

And predictably, there was an outcry about the congestion that it would cause on the roads: This, of course, mostly from the SUV-riding fatcats that are concerned about the Nano getting in the way of their manicure appointments, who if given the choice would strike I have an Antionettish response:
